Who Qualifies?
The Decagon scholarship is merit-based and need-aware. You must meet all three criteria.
JAMB score of 250 or above
Your UTME result is the entry point. A score of 250 or higher demonstrates the academic standard the programme requires.
Financial need
The scholarship exists because cost — not ability — is the barrier. You must demonstrate that tuition is genuinely out of reach for your family.
Character and commitment
We look for students who are serious, coachable, and ready to represent the programme. Academic results matter; so does who you are.
Nigerian citizenship is required. Applications are open to candidates seeking admission to one of our partner universities.
What the Scholarship Covers
Full tuition
Your fees are paid directly to your university each semester, disbursed against verified enrollment.
Leadership training
Access to the Decagon leadership curriculum — the same programme that runs inside Decagon's professional training track.
Mentorship & community
You join a cohort of scholars and gain access to mentors from Nigeria's tech and business ecosystem.
Support to graduation
We stay with you. Academic check-ins, pastoral support, and career guidance from first semester to final year.
How the Programme Works
Apply online
Complete the eligibility form. It takes less than 15 minutes. You'll need your JAMB score, WAEC results, and a short personal statement.
Assessment
Shortlisted candidates go through a structured assessment — academic review, financial verification, and a brief interview.
Placement
Successful scholars are matched to a partner university based on course preference and availability. Admission is confirmed before funding is committed.
Funding & onboarding
Your tuition is paid directly to the university. You attend a scholar orientation and begin the leadership programme alongside your degree.
Through to graduation
Funding continues each semester against verified attendance. You graduate with a degree, a leadership credential, and a network.
Partner Universities
Decagon scholars are placed at accredited private universities across Nigeria. Partner institutions are selected for academic quality, available capacity, and commitment to scholar welfare.
